mooli(raddish) paratha

Ingredients:

grated mooli - 1 cup
ajwain - 1 tsp
red chillie powder- 1/4 sp
turmeric powder- 1 pinch
salt to taste
atta - 2 cups
water to knead the dough
oil - 1 tsp

mix all the ingredients and roll out into a thick paratha..
cook on both sides in a hot tava ,till golden brown .

serve hot with raitha or pickle.

rava (semolina )roti

Ingredients

rava- 1 cup
rice flour - 1 cup
grated carrot,cabbage - 1/2 cup
finely chopped onion - 1/4th cup
jeera - 1 tsp
green chillies - 2 or 3 finely chopped
coriander leaves - 1 spoon
water to kneed the dough
oil - 1 tsp.


mix all the ingredients with water and make a dough in the consistency of chapatti dough.take a small ball (size of a lemon)

now take a pan ,rub your fingers with Little oil. place the small ball in the centre of the pan and spread it as thin as u can by applying light pressure in your fingers. make it as thin as u can.

now cook on both sides till they are crisp enough.

serve hot with chutney or sauce.
an ideal morning breakfast or a snack for ur lil ones school!!!!!!

stuffed moong dal paratha




Ingredients:
for the stuffing
moong sdhal - 1 cup
finely chopped onion - 1/4th cup
finely chopped ginger,green chillies,garlic- 1/2 tsp
chat masala powder - a pinch
aamchur powder (dry mango powder)-1/4tsp
corainder leaves(very finely cut)-1 spoon
salt to taste


wheat flour for the paratha..


cook the moong dhal till done (dontr over cook it .u should be jsut able to mash it with ur finger)drain off the excess water(leave it for 5mts) and all other ingredients and mix well

now stuff this dhal inside a partha and roll it out and cook on tava on both sides with lil oil and ur hot dhal paratha is ready..

Aloo paratha

Ingredients:
for the stuffing : 

cooked and mashed aloo - 1 cup
 pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
red chillie powder - 1/2 tsp
jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
salt - 1/4 tsp 

for the   paratha
 atta- 2 cups
salt a pinch 
luke war water to kneed the dough

kneed the dough and keep aside for 30mts ,u can add a  pinch of turmeric powder and that's optional.

 now  mix all the ingredients under the stuffing column and make small balls from it.


now take a portion of the dough and spread it with ur hand stuff 1 aloo ball and close it, dust it with atta flour and roll it into a paratha.


cook on both sides with lil oil and ur aloo paratha is ready.. serve hot with raitha or pickle


Methi paratha

 Ingredients:

1 cup finely chopped fresh methi leaves 
a pinch of turmeric powder
1/4tsp of red chillie powder
a tsp of ghee or oil 
1 cup atta  flour
salt to taste 
Luke warm water to kneed the dough 


 mix all the ingredients and make a tight thick dough.
roll out  like a normal roti and cook on both sides on a tava with lil oil or ghee 
 ,serve hot with  curd or raitha or any gravy or just pickle ..

phulka roti

Ingredients

wheat flour - 1 cup
Luke warm water (enough to kneed the dough)
a pinch of salt 
a spoon of milk 


 mix all the ingredients and make a tight dough 
keep aside for 10-15mts..
the rolling part is really important for  puffing of phulkas.. 
 there should not be any pores after u roll out (just lift and c thru the rolled chapatti )
also the ends should not crack,it should be perfect in shape(if it cracks add lil water or milk and kneed again)
 now roll it with a  bellen(make it small than a normal chapatti)
 in the mean time pre heat the tava  and simmer it..
cook on 1 side  for abt 30-40 sec and turn and cook on another side for 30- 40 sec again turn and cook on the first side for  another 30 secs ..


switch on the other stove and using the grill plate cook  put the top side of chapatti on the grill plate and cu r phulka puffing up!! :)
turn and cook on another side also!!!



try it out just like this Ur phulka will look like poori!!!!!!
