dal tadka

Ingredients

thuvar dhal - 1/2 cup
moong dhal - yellow split - 1/2 cup
onion - 1
green chillies -2
grated ginger - 1/2 tsp
garlic pods - 4 finely chopped
kasuri methi - 1 tsp
coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
for tadka:

a pinch of hing and
a pinch of turmeric powder
1/4tsp of oi/ghee for tadka

Pressure cook the dhal with a pinch of turmeric powder and slit green chillies,finely chopped onion and grated ginger and chopped garlic , for abt 3 whistles and simmer for 5 mts and switch off the stove. when the pressure is released ,bring this to boil add kasuri methi and coriander leaves,tadka with rai and jeera and serve hot with roti or phulka..
