tomato rice

Ingridents:
basmathi rice - 1 cup
water - 1 1/2 cups
elachi - 2 
bay leaf - 1 
clove - 2 
Cinnamon - 1 inch bar
green chillies - 1 or 2 slit into 2 
 onion finely sliced - 1 big
tomato - 2  cut into pieces
 ginger - 1 inch finely grated
garlic 2 or 3 pods - finely chopped.
oil +ghee- 1 tsp 
sambhar powder,dhaniya pwder and red chillie powder  - 1/2 tsp  each 

soak the rice  for a mt in water and drain and keep aside for 10-15mts 
In a cooker add the oil and ghee mixture ,add Cinnamon,elachi,clove and bay leaf,then add grated ginger and garlic then add green chillies, saute for a mint .then add onion and saute it for another 1 or 2 mts,then add tomato ,add the rice and saute for a mt or 2. then add salt ,sambhar powder,dhaniya powder and chillie powder  and mix well then and water ,close the lid and pressure cook for 3-4 whistle and ur tomato rice  is ready, u can add grated cheddar cheese on top .serve with mixed veg raitha .
